A survey by the charity found that one in 10 teachers stigmatisechildren with epilepsy.
The survey asked the parents of 225 children with epilepsy about howtheir offspring were treated; 12 per cent said teachers treated themdifferently.
Simon Collister, education officer at Epilepsy Action, said: "Teachersare not to blame for this situation, the problem is that there is nostatutory training for teachers that explores not only the healthimplications but also learning implications of epilepsy."
Epilepsy Action is funding the trial, which ends in February.
