Two councils are being sued for failing to spot a boy's dyslexia and placing him in a special school.
Richard Smith, 27, is taking action against Hampshire County Council andKnowsley Metropolitan Borough Council. He is arguing that he was"grossly misplaced" by Hampshire between the ages of eight and 15. Healso claims that when he moved to Knowsley the council failed to rectifythe situation.
Both councils declined to comment because the case is ongoing, but bothare understood to be arguing that Smith's claim is outside the timelimit because it is more than three years since he found out that he haddyslexia.
