Education News: Dyslexia - Liverpool is first to win practice award

Liverpool council's education service has been given a new award for its commitment to supporting pupils with dyslexia.

The service has been awarded the first ever British Dyslexia Association quality mark for developing excellent practice in the area.

Association chief executive Susan Tresman said: "Liverpool showed good levels of commitment and excellent practice in terms of leading schools towards inclusivity."

The council's executive member for education, Paul Clein, said: "We are determined to build on this good work."
