The Key Stage 4 Curriculum - increased flexibility and work-relatedlearning found students are becoming re-engaged with learning as schoolsoffer courses better suited to their needs.
But some schools have not expanded the range of qualifications on offerbecause they feel it would not maximise success in exams and leaguetables.
The report also recommends that schools should collaborate effectivelywith other educational partners within an area to ensure a range ofcurriculum options is provided.
