Education news: Creativity urged in adapting to reform

Heads have been urged to be more creative as they restructure their schools to take account of changes in children's services.

A report by Ofsted says that most schools are at least adequately fundedto implement the national agreement, which aims to help schools embracewider workforce reform.

But it adds that "only in a minority is funding being used creatively torestructure the workforce".

Remodelling the school workforce also says that while many schoolsperceive a significant change in workforce culture, few are evaluatingthe impact of their actions on rising standards.
