In order to improve both discipline and to make the state education system fairer, we must introduce tougher penalties for those who misbehave and make the secondary school system simpler.

To achieve a simpler school system, we should do away with the comprehensive model and replace it with a selective system based on academic ability. This will allow the most academically minded to be rewarded while catering for those better suited to vocational learning.

The government's plan to keep everyone in education until 18 is a good one. We do, however, need sensible disciplinary action against misbehaving pupils of all ages.

I would make it my duty to reform the state education system by having two-tier secondary schools and colleges and improving class discipline by removing senseless bureaucracy. This would make for a fairer, higher quality education system for all in modern Britain.
