This year's feature compares total net youth service budgets in 2004-05 with those for 2005-06, and the annual spend per year per head in 1999-2000 - when the education department first produced these figures - with 2003-04.
Some believe this information should be scrutinised in detail and local education authorities held accountable if they aren't allocating adequate money to youth services.
Others say the data should be kept under wraps, especially those who on the face of it appear to be doing well. Local politics often dictate that if a service is seen to be spending what it should on youth provision and meeting the Government's guidelines, it will find it hard to secure extra cash.
