Early years: Foundation degree students struggle

More than a third of professionals studying for the Early Years Foundation Degree have struggled to cope with the workload.

A report commissioned by the Department for Education and Skills revealsthat 37 per cent of students experienced difficulties keeping up withthe pace of the course and 35 per cent struggled with its academicrequirements.

Most people studying for the degree had worked in childcare or educationfor more than two years.
