Inspectors found three-quarters of the 23 centres inspected were providing good services to their community. They highlighted strong evidence that the integrated services and extended daycare were combating effects of child poverty and had enabled many parents to attend educational courses or return to work.
Also, early identification and support for children with special education needs was found to be very successful.
