Drugs: YoungMinds offers advice on cannabis

The charity's Stressed out and Struggling project, which aims to highlight the mental health needs of 16- to 25-year-olds, will launch the documents on the YoungMinds web site shortly.

The publication follows Home Secretary Charles Clarke's announcement last week that cannabis would remain a Class C drug, but that the Home Office was developing a campaign to warn of the mental health risks.

Martin Barnes, chief executive of DrugScope, said: "There was some confusion following reclassification, but most people now realise that cannabis is illegal and not harmless."
