Don't miss ... TX UnLtd - Unwanted, BBC 1Xtra, 23 February,5.00-7.00pm

1 min read

Unwanted tells the stories of young people who are put into foster care or placed with families from different backgrounds and asks what is being done to address the figures.

Jordan, 19, is half Scottish and half Jamaican. He went into care aged four after living with his mother in a hostel and then with his grandmother.

He says he did not want to be adopted because he still had links with his family, so he was fostered. Jane, in her twenties, is also of mixed heritage.

She was adopted by a White family in Wales when she was a baby. She lived in a small village but first experienced racism when she moved to London and started getting called "White girl" in the street.
