She believes they are greedy, selfish and yobbish; they drink too much, smoke too much and take too many drugs.
On her travels she meets a petty criminal, an overindulged 'it' girl, and a wannabe pop idol. Malone concludes that the problem stems from a culture of overindulgent parenting, the roots of which she traces back to the 1960s.
She weighs up possible solutions, such as bringing back corporal punishment, the return of national service and the introduction of special "anti-yob" powers for police. This is the second in the series of three The Trouble With ... documentaries.
