Don't miss: Compulsion - The Trouble with Jonny

BBC Two, 25 May, 9.00-10.00pm

In his teens, Jonny Walker appeared to have everything. But by the age of 18, he was visiting Alcoholics Anonymous and by his early twenties he had amassed debts as a result of his addictions to drink, drugs and gambling.

This film follows Jonny through psychiatric care into Christ Church, a religious and therapeutic community in Deal, Kent, that has been helping people overcome abuse, mental illness and addictions for 10 years. New arrivals are left alone, the belief being that the only way to recovery is through a real hunger for it. But Jonny refuses to ask for help and matters soon take a dramatic turn when he takes an overdose.
