The students won their places on the show through the Schools Question Time Challenge, a national initiative launched last October by BT, the Institute for Citizenship and the BBC. They were asked to propose a Question Time-style event to be staged at their schools, including the names of panel members and a theme for debate. At the end of the show, the students will be presented with their trophies.
