The trial will see 7,300 nurseries across the UK receive a free pack containing activity templates using Playhouse Disney characters such as Tigger and Winnie the Pooh to help educate and engage pre-schoolers with environmental issues such as recycling and conservation.
Neil Leitch, director of communications at the Pre-school Learning Alliance, said: "We are delighted to be involved with Playhouse Disney to launch such an innovative and unique programme of tailored support for practitioners."
The move follows the launch of the Playhouse Disney Playing for the Planet campaign, which contains activities to help parents teach children to be more environmentally aware.
Rob Gilby, managing director of Playhouse Disney, said: "The environment is an issue close to many parents' hearts and it's a natural next step to trial this content in other pre-school environments."
