The remarks were in response to new data on excluded families publishedby the Social Exclusion Task Force. Every Disabled Child Matters'campaign manager Steve Broach said that the results failed to recognisethat poor parenting isn't why the parents of disabled children aresocially excluded.
"Families of disabled children will often experience these problems, butthe causes are different, it's because they have a disabled child. Thesupport they need is different," he said.
The data says families at risk need family-tailored support packages atcritical moments on parenting techniques.
