
Issues such as sexting, cyberbullying and pro-anorexia websites would be discussed in schools under Liberal Democrat plans to educate young people about the realities of sex and mental illness. The Guardian reports that the party wants an overhaul of the national curriculum in England to make personal, social and health education (PSHE) lessons mandatory, including lessons about conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Children as young as 11 have been caught drink driving in the UK. The Independent reports that a freedom of information request by an in-car camera company found that, on average, around 1,000 under-18s each year have been convicted of the offence. This included an 11-year-old offender being caught drink driving in the Thames Valley area in 2011, and 12-year-olds being caught in Scotland and Manchester in 2012 and 2008 respectively.
