The Guardian reports the legal amendment, which has been put forward by Labour MP Stella Creasy, would give child refugees in Calais the protection of UK safeguarding rules and create a proper system for bringing unaccompanied children to Britain.?
Parents in Anglesey will have to show their children's birth certificates if they want the council to continue to collect dirty nappies. The Telegraph reports that the council said waste management teams have evidence that most children are potty-trained between two and three years old, so it wants to make people prove their child's age if they want to receive the service.
