What are they working on at the moment? The nursery is currently doing a lot of work in a bid to encourage stronger partnerships with parents. It is difficult to get parents involved in childcare as they are often working and see it as a service they pay for.
How is the nursery forming parent partnerships? It has set up a parent committee, which currently consists of two volunteers. In every newsletter there is a drive to recruit more parents and consult with them. The nursery also organises parents' evenings and afternoons, which are conducted at a time that suits the parents. What's more, the children's personal learning plan - a folder with samples of the children's work - also has space for input from parents.
