Consultation: Make Space outlines early youth review findings

1 min read

The review, which hopes to publish interim findings in mid-February, has so far consulted about 1,000 young people through roadshows in Doncaster and Wakefield. It will consult young people in Tower Hamlets next month.

Craig Jones, director of Make Space, which is run by charity 4Children, said preliminary findings indicate that young people do not like 'old-style youth clubs' but want spaces to meet that should be staffed by highly trained youth workers and available after 4pm on weekdays. The review has also found that young people want to be able to access youth support from one location that has links with their school.
