CONNEXIONS: Merseyside takes part in ethnic pilot

1 min read

The partnership has devised strategies, known as Positive Action, involving the future employment of 10 staff from minority racial groups.

Under the Positive Action scheme, which is based on the amended Race Relations Act (2000), the new staff will work towards an NVQ Level 4 in Guidance and an Understanding Connexions qualification.

The report recommends the promotion of job ads in minority ethnic community centres and further training for all staff on employment law.
