Connexions: Bus hits the streets in the Black Country

1 min read

The bus has been backed by Connexions Black Country in association with Black Country Learning and Skills Council. It will take Connexions' work to community youth groups and to targeted projects to do with issues including teenage pregnancy and drugs.

Personal advisers will also use the bus to give information at events in the area.

Features on the vehicle include a mini-classroom, computers with internet access, a chill-out zone and DJ decks.

Stephen Clarke, co-ordinator of the bus, said: "It provides a fantastic mobile resource for young people and community groups that work with 13- to 19-year-olds.

"It means Connexions can provide its service in all parts of the Black Country, by supporting community groups and offering advice to more young people across the region."
