City farm project is relaunched

Youth Work
Prism Youth Project has officially relaunched its city farm in Bradford for socially excluded young people.

The Prism Youth Project provides alternative education for young people who have personal, social or emotional problems. Young people who attend the project are given the chance to run the farm and learn other skills along the way.

Around 25 young people operate the farm each day and are involved in activities such as cleaning, feeding and grooming the animals, as well as horticultural and construction work such as planting, compost management and painting.

All skills undertaken in the project can be accredited through Asdan, Btec and diploma qualifications.
