THE GANG DIVERSION SERVICE

Project: The Gang Diversion Service

Aim: To offer gang crime offenders the opportunity to change their way of life and move away from gang crime

Funding: £60,000 a year through the Birmingham Community Safety Partnership and from local and national sources

If you're part of a gang, it's not easy to break away. But a Birmingham-based project is helping gang members rebuild their lives away from crime. The Gang Diversion Service is run by Bromford Support, which offers supported housing services to vulnerable groups and is part of the Bromford Group. It mentors and supports offenders, working with many before they are released from prison.
