The Children's Hospital in Sheffield has opened a room to provide young people with a space to relax.

The Youth Room, on Ward M2, has been created to offer patients over the age of 12 a medicaland parent-free space, where they can chill out in a safe and friendly environment.

The room includes Nintendo Wii and Xbox consoles, arts and crafts materials and a DVD player. Stacey Curzon, youth worker at The Children's Hospital, said: "This room has been designed by young people, for young people - we consulted with them every step of the way to create the ideal space."
