The Institute for Public Policy Research says the UK should model itssystem on Australia, where fathers' income can be intercepted if theydefault on payments.
Work and pensions secretary John Hutton is due to announce severalreforms tomorrow (Thursday), including measures allowing the CSA accessto detailed records held by credit rating agencies to assess fathers'wealth.
However, the Government has baulked at more radical proposals such ashanding the CSA's responsibilities to Revenue and Customs.
