In a letter to Blair, the Labour backbencher said he was concerned thatthe results of the Government's review of the agency, which arecurrently being considered by ministers, would not go far enough.
"My concern is that you may be presented with a partial picturestressing, where possible, any improvement that has occurred in anysingle aspect of the Child Support Agency's function," wrote Field.
Field's letter said the agency has failed to collect 3bn ofmaintainance payments and urged Blair to collect child maintenancepayments through the income tax system as he proposed when he was aminister.
