Cerebra grant scheme

Supports under-16s who have neurodevelopmental disorders and conditions

What is it? Founded in 2001, Cerebra is a national charity that aims to improve the lives of children with brain-related neurological conditions, through research, education and direct support. Its grant scheme helps children aged 16 or under with a wide range of neurodevelopmental disorders and conditions including cerebral palsy, autistic spectrum disorders, developmental disorders, seizure disorders such as epilepsy, ADHD, and traumatic brain injury.

How much is available? There is no set amount available for grants. You can bid for up to 80 per cent of the cost of equipment and services. Applicants will need to contribute the remaining 20 per cent of the cost, or £400, whichever is the lowest amount. The grants are not means-tested but it is unlikely that those with household incomes of more than £60,000 will be helped.
