A report from the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal shows a high percentage of its cases involve autistic spectrum disorders.

When it comes to special needs, parents of children with autism are theleast satisfied with their children's education according to figuresreleased by the Tribunals Service.

The annual report of the Special Educational Needs and DisabilityTribunal shows parents of children with an autistic spectrum disorderare the most likely to complain.

"There is a high proportion of autistic spectrum disorder cases going tospecial educational needs appeals. The latest figures show 23.1 per centof the total number of appeals are autistic spectrum disorder cases,which is the highest proportion of cases as broken down by the nature ofspecial educational need," explains Amanda Allard, head of policy atTreeHouse, the autism education charity.
