Big Lottery Fund targets vulnerable

Youth Work
Youth groups working with vulnerable young people can apply for grants through a new Big Lottery Fund programme from this month.

The Youth in Focus grant stream will make up to £30m available for projects in England that support young people through difficult changes in their lives. Projects can bid for between £500,000 and £1.5m.

The money will be targeted at three groups of young people: young carers, care-leavers and former offenders leaving youth custody. The funding initiative will support projects that give these young people a voice and help them to access advice and services that can support their day-to-day lives.
