The Big Lottery Fund is looking for young people in England to help decide which youth activities should receive funding.

The fund is offering places on its Young People's Fund Local Grants award-making committee to under-25s who have experience of working in a team and making decisions and be available to attend committee meetings in June and July. Young people chosen will be given training and support.

The grants programme awards between £10,000 and £500,000 to voluntary and community projects targeted at disadvantaged young people across England.

Sanjay Dighe, head of the England committee at the Young People's Fund, said: "The Young People's Fund is all about increasing the involvement of young people in designing, running and reviewing the services they use, so it makes sense that young people are at the heart of this committee.
