Our project recently organised a trip to a theme park. It was an ideal opportunity to do a bit of bonding between the children we work with and their carers.
I boarded a coach full of excited children. "I've been up since five 'cos I was so excited," beamed Hannah. There was the usual vying for seats. "Sit next to me, Claire." "No, me." When I sat down, nine-year-old Lucy took one look at me and said: "Gawd, you've got a big bum, Claire; it's taking up all the room." Fat Fighters, here I come.
We got there to find sunshine and loads of other children and their carers.
