There's been a huge increase in the number of jobs going in children'scentres recently. I've been considering a change of direction and havebeen quite interested in applying, but I didn't really know how theyoperated.
The job descriptions are a bit daunting, the partnership workingelements are a bit hazy and the overall size of the posts seem to entailan awful lot of responsibility. As a result, I haven't applied for anyyet. But I think that's about to change.
I visited a children's centre in Liverpool and suddenly it all madeperfect sense. The building was brand new, and joined to a school, thusproviding "wraparound care". The facilities were state of the art; therewas a nursery, a playgroup and a sensory room.
