That's school out for the summer and we are now well into thelong-awaited holidays. We've been planning our summer activitiesprogramme: circus skills, days out, barbecues and the beach. I love itas much as the children do.
I remember my own early childhood summer holidays as a huge expanse ofendless fun-packed time. But as I got older, the hols had their downsidetoo.
When I was a child, my parents were broke. No-electricity-for-a-yearbroke. I thought everybody lived like us but sometimes I would go tofriends' posher houses and realise what different lives we led. Everyknock at the door would bring panic over unpaid bills and debtcollectors.
