I went on a weekend break recently to Denmark. It's a fabulous country, and Copenhagen is particularly gorgeous. The Little Mermaid statue isnot quite as fairy tale-like as you might think though - it's aboutthree feet high with a power station in the background. I had alwaysthought it was in a castle with an enchanted island in the background.Ah well, another childhood dream gone.
We got cheap flights (company motto: Pay less; No stress) and our returnone left at 1am - it had seemed like a reasonable idea when webooked.
But what we hadn't bargained for was that it was near the start of theschool holidays, and so the departure lounge was full of families withyoung children. And the flight was delayed by two hours.
