Monday: To Peterborough to welcome our impressive array of new staff at a residential induction event.

We've doubled in size over the past six months, but it's satisfying to see that, while they bring with them a diverse range of skills and experience, the new arrivals all share the Changemakers philosophy and ethos. There is little need to Fockerise them, as Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand did in the film Meet the Fockers.

Tuesday: It's the opening night of the London debut of OVO, the theatre company I run in my rare moments of spare time. OVO has managed to create a number of volunteering opportunities for young people in its front-of-house operation, which means I get some Brownie points from my Changemakers colleagues who can count these towards their targets for our v involved contract in London. It's an interesting opportunity to see how the operation works from a client's perspective. I'm a satisfied customer.
