Hi, my name is Shaun Bailey. I have been a youth worker for 17 years and in this time I've had plenty of adventures and learned a thing or two about young people and some of the challenges facing people who work with them directly.

What have I been up to in the past 17 years?

Well, I'm based in London and started in youth work as a play worker in a summer scheme, then as a sergeant instructor in the Army Cadet Force. I then moved on to a detached youth project, then did some centre-based work. I helped set up a local youth inclusion programme and worked on the project, then I moved on to youth drug work. I also worked as a consultant to help set up a new youth/community work charity called MyGeneration.
