This week the lovely Lily Allen hit headlines with worries that she thinks of herself as 'fat and ugly'. Lily, who has always maintained she is a singer not a model, seems to have forgotten her own words of wisdom and joined the increasing numbers of young women concerned that they are not stick thin.

With a number one album, a new range of clothing and an attitude that arguably makes her one of the best role models for young women in the fickle world of pop, you would think that she would be feeling strong and confident. Apparently not - she even admits to considering surgery.
