One of the little known facts about Southend is that we have four principal youth officers living in the town. At least two of them have kids, and one of them has a daughter who is getting dangerously close to turning 10.

Once into double figures, the desire to join one of our junior clubs will become too much to resist. Before you know it, 'peer assessment' will be given a whole new meaning because we'll have a parent PYO on our hands.

If I needed one more reason to embrace the Transforming Youth Work 13 to 19 message, this could be it.
