Last month, a reporter from the BBC tracked me down. I was busy minding my own business at the civic centre when my mobile phone rang. "It's about antisocial behaviour Mr Bracey," he said. "We understand you're an expert."
Me, an antisocial behaviour expert? It's hardly the word I would use.
I may know the difference between an ASBO and an ABC, but that doesn't qualify me to be called an expert. So I declined to comment, much to the disappointment of the reporter who had to go elsewhere for his 60-second sound bite.
The call from the BBC followed an announcement by the Government that it was strengthening its Together initiative, increasing the number of antisocial behaviour action areas in England by adding a further 50 towns and cities to the original line-up of 10.
