What are your responsibilities and does this involve meeting targets? My responsibilities include co-ordinating the programme, supervising five youth workers and a member of admin staff, overseeing budgets and liaising with outside agencies such as youth offending teams, social services, Connexions and housing.

What is a typical day for you? I start at 8.30am and tidy the place up. When the young people arrive I make sure they sign in and meet and greet them. Young people come to the house for three hours and we look at building their self-esteem and job skills. A lot of people have a lack of aspirations or poor education because of truancy and drug issues. There's also racism, so we do community cohesion work.
