Awards: Lawrence award winners revealed

The winners, announced yesterday, are: Tower Hamlets Nang! magazine, West Sussex group It Happens, Lutons Truancy Awareness Project, York-shires Soul and Fame, London- based Lets Be Positive, Gateshead Young Womens Outreach Project, North Wales Venue and Aldbourne Youth Council.

The Philip Lawrence Awards are run by charity 4Children and funded by the Home Office.

Frances Lawrence, founder of the Philip Lawrence Awards, said: Past winners have helped other groups to set up similar schemes in their communities.
