Ask the Expert: Handling bullying allegations

1 min read

We have had a spate of complaints concerning bullying by one of our senior managers. This has never been raised as a problem before, and she has always been a dedicated and effective part of the team. How can we address this fairly?

Make sure any action taken is fair and focused on resolution. It is not just a matter of proof and blame. The actions you take will impact on a wide group of staff. What is done and how it is done will be important and noticed by many people.

Follow your organisation’s HR procedures, involve the HR department and note carefully what is done and why.
