The protests, organised by South Central Connexions, took place in Portsmouth, Southampton, Basingstoke, Winchester and Ringwood last week.
South Central Connexions set up Apprenticeships Online, an interactive web site, last September. Would-be apprentices can apply for opportunities online and track the progress of their applications. More than 6,000 young people have registered on the site, but there are not enough placements.
A spokeswoman for South Central Connexions said: "The web site has had an overwhelming response but we haven't got enough vacancies to service all the young people using it. We wanted to raise awareness of Apprenticeships with local employers as we know there are a lot of preconceptions. Employers often think they are expensive to set up and there is a lot of red tape, so the campaign is trying to reassure them this isn't the case."
