Appointment: YOT managers elect new chair

Thomas, who was deputy chair, was elected at the association's annual general meeting in Stratford-upon-Avon last week. He is head of West Sussex Youth Offending Service and succeeds Pauline Batstone, youth offending team manager for Bournemouth and Poole.

Thomas told members he would be leading the association in calls for more resources for youth offending teams, a greater focus on the rights of young people, and continued independence for youth offending teams.
