Analysis: Practice: Antisocial behaviour - Agencies encouraged to take joined-up approach

One of the conclusions of last week's Home Affairs Select Committee report Antisocial Behaviour is that agencies are not working together to implement antisocial behaviour strategies at a local level. As evidence, the committee cited the failure of youth services, local education authorities and social services departments to attend crime- and disorder-reduction partnership meetings.

Working together

The week before, the Youth Justice Board, together with the Home Office and the Association of Chief Police Officers, issued guidance to youth offending teams on how they can best work with local partners to address antisocial behaviour.

The board denies that this guidance was issued in response to a problem.
