Anti-social Behaviour: Clarke's concerns over impact of Bill

The children's commissioner for Wales has spoken out against plans to extend the naming of children who breach anti-social behaviour orders (Asbos).

Peter Clarke said he had strong concerns about the Serious and Organised Crime and Police Bill, which is currently passing through the House of Commons.

The Bill would make it legal to name children appearing in criminal courts for breaching an Asbo. Clarke said: "I just hope that they really abandon this course because it is chipping away at the fundamental rights of children."
