Anti-Bullying Week to start

Education
Dozens of events will be taking place across England next week to mark a national week of action to combat bullying.

This year's Anti-Bullying Week runs from 19-23 November and will see organisations raising awareness and launching initiatives to help reduce bullying.

Events set to take place during the week include the launch of an anti-bullying charter backed by every secondary school in South Ribble and a brochure for schools in Birmingham to help them ensure pupils aren't bullied on their home-school journey.

In the town of Yate in South Gloucestershire, anti-bullying posters designed by young people will be displayed in the town hall and a national cyberbullying conference will be held in London. An award for anti-bullying work will be handed out at CYP Now's Children and Young People's Services Awards 2007.
