So said Jeremy Glover, chief executive of Bolton Lads and Girls Club, at Young People Now's Sharing Best Practice: Implementing The Youth Matters Green Paper conference last week. The subject of relationships was close to the heart of all speakers and delegates: not only the relationship between young people and youth workers, which made a welcome appearance as the third strapline of the Youth Matters: Next Steps document, but also the challenges posed to organisations in working together to implement the youth green paper.
