It's just over a year since Every Child Matters was published. Described as the biggest shake-up of children's services in a generation, its anniversary has been marked by a flurry of activity and new publications from the Department for Education and Skills (DfES).
Every Child Matters: Change for Children sets out the key elements and the timetable for reform. Working with voluntary and community organisations to deliver change for children and young people was published at the same time and four separate documents for people working in social care, the criminal justice system, health services and schools will be issued by the end of the month.
